Some say that it is not all about the gear, and they are right. It is only a tool which is important but in some cases not a crucial. However, just as taxi driver cannot exist without a reliable car, so cannot cinematographers and photographers exist without quality and reliable photo and video equipmnent. Here is a brief overview of Goran's equipment. In video business the main cameras are Sony FS5, Sony a7s and Sony a6500. Camera setup is very transformable and depends of production needs. It can be as light as possible, which is recommended for mounting on sliders, drones, or video cranes. On the other hand, cameras are ready for full ENG work with shoulder rigs, external viewfinders, shotgun, wireless microphone set etc. FS5 is capable of filming timelapse video and super slomotion till 900 fps, which makes it very valuable on the market. All the cameras are 4k. Goran has at his disposal also a bunch of GoPro cameras and equipment with many of mounting solutions which is ideal for every "GoPro demanding" shot.
In the lens selection Goran relies most on the Canon and Sony professional optics. He has 10-18, 35 f1.8 prime, 50 f1.2L prime, 50 f1.8 prime, 85 T1.5 cinema prime, 100 f2.8 prime macro, 16-35 f2.8L, 70-200 f2.8 lenses and one allround ENG Sony 18-200 servo zoom lens. As a camera support gear he uses Sachtler video 15 carbon fiber tripod with large payload, he also has Manfrotto monopod and lightweight tripod, 1 meter long Gearbox slider, Glidecam (steadicam), gimbal, Senna One Minute Crane XL (4 meters high video crane), Senna LED lights, fluo soft lights, Zoom audio recorders, Sennheiser wireless set, Rode and Sony microphones (3x shotgun, 1x reporter mic) etc. For highly demand productions he uses Atomos Shogun Inferno 4k recorder which quadruplies HD resolution and gives him future proof and postproduction very valuable UHD and 4k resolutions in lossless compression editing codecs. In association with his partners he makes areal shots and professional audio and video studio recordings as well. He can also manage green screen shootings. Postproduction is done on dual processor/12 core Apple Mac Pro computer, mainly because of Goran's permanent need for speed and safety. In everyday use he has more than 30 TB of disc space which is more than enough for safe management of raw dailies and backup needs. In field work he relies on Macbook Pro laptop and a state of the art LaCie thunderbolt external hard drives. Editing and postproduction Goran manages in Adobe ecosystem with Premier, After Effects, Audacity, Photoshop and Lightroom as main tools, but for some projects he uses Apples Final Cut Pro X. For photo arrangements he uses Canon 1DmkIV and Sony a6500 and Canon&Sony lenses mentioned above. He uses number of spedlights, sofboxes and many more other light shapers.
